From September 30th till October 2nd, team members of the Śivadharma Project, members of the advisory board, collaborators and other experts on the history of Śaivism gathered in Naples for a 3-day workshop on the Śivadharma and related sources.
This workshop was a very important opportunity to introduce everybody to the project and start examining together the main sources that are at the core of our project, and the avenues of research that we want to pursue in the next year.
We are very grateful to everybody who gave an active contribution to the success of this workshop, and look forward to the next gathering in Pondicherry, from January 27th to February 7th 2020.
We are currently planning to publish the contributions to the workshop in a volume that will inaugurate the Śivadharma monograph series at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. The volume will be edited by Florinda De Simini and Csaba Kiss, and will see the contributions of all the team members, along with Hans Bakker, Judit Törzsök and Yuko Yokochi, who contributed very interesting presentations to our workshop. We aim at having the volume out in one year from now, and collect in it articles that showcase the research that has been done in the first year of the project.
