On February 22nd, Florinda De Simini was at IIT-Bombay to talk about “The Place of the Śivadharma in the History of Early Śaivism”.
In this lecture she introduced students to the early history of South Asian religious traditions, with a special focus on the Śaiva religion. In particular, she will present the evidence for placing the composition of the early prescriptive literature of the Śaiva communities in time and space, as this is emerging from the work of ongoing research projects.
